Home tuition is the act of schooling your children in the comfort of your home with a tailor made curricular. With the aspect of homeschooling your children at your home, there is always the assumption that home tuition is cheap, this is generally not the truth. Home tuition comes with its own cost. The education given is not limited to one subject but a whole load of subjects thus it becomes quite expensive when it comes to costs. These subjects come with their own cost and the parent is supposed to settle them just like if it were in a traditional education settings. There are various ways of cutting these costs. These are as follows:

• The internet- The World Wide Web or what is generally known as the internet is a useful and valuable resource and it would be all most impossible for many parents if it were not there. You can do anything, right from researching for essay papers to curriculum at the comfort of your home and it comes very cheap and convenient for you.
• The other way on cutting your home tuition expenses is through online auctions where you can buy curriculum programs and books at throw away prices. If this is not possible for you, then you can pay a visit to your local public library but do not forget to make a list of books which you can borrow to suit your specific needs.
• For those parents who are associated with a home tuition group, you can to swap books between the members or members selling each other books which they no longer need but are useful for your case. These include used curriculums and teaching aids which will be very helpful to a particular parent. After you are through with these books, you can sell them or lend to other home tuition parents.
• Pool in financial resources and negotiate with publishers for a lower price for the needed books among your support group. If you don’t have a home tuition support group in your area, simply go online for homeschooling communities and forums where you will get support and guidance regarding all home tuition resources.
• Another great area where you can get helpful resources includes your local newspapers where you can look for garage and yard sales which have books and craft supplies. Go there and purchase the books that suit your home tuition situation. You can use the craft supplies for a particular craft or a scientific assignment or project.

The most important and expensive part of your home tuition is the curriculum, so before you purchase one, have some consideration into the following points:

ü  It should fit into your religious beliefs and your particular family’s moral standards.

ü  Your teachings and child’s learning styles should be incorporated into the curriculum.

ü  The curriculum should be designed in such a way that it can be used by multiple and upcoming children at whatever stage of life.

ü  The curriculum should be fully updated to suit the current educational needs of the children.

If you think that the curriculum on sale is not what you need for your child, feel free to check the internet and get the one you feel is more suitable for your family needs.

If your child’s home school becomes too repetitive, pay a visit to the zoo, science center or any other field trip to break the cycle. Consider these trips as a form of making the child’s concentration on education more comprehensive and all-round.
